Together we discover the Christian way

We make good use of the Henley Community Hall as well as the adjoining St Mark's Church for our varied activities, which sometimes take us far from Mansfield!

On Sundays in school term, during 9.30am Mass children and teenagers are invited over to the Hall soon after the first hymn. There in YOUNG LIONS and LION CUBS we do a mixture of things summed up in the phrase
Learning with Lots of Laughter (the 3 L's)!

There are all sorts of extra activities too.

LIONHEARTS (over 11's) meet from time to time to enjoy themselves and to plan worship-with-a-difference.

Young Lions, Lion Cubs and Lionhearts make up St Mark's Lions. They are the young people's part of St Mark's Church, discovering more about Christianity in interesting ways. Religion does not have to be boring!

The Youth Group meets every Wednesday evening for a good time!

The Boys' Brigade comprises three groups for lads from 7 to 18. Amongst the energetic activities on a Monday night, they learn important life skills which are tested on the frequent trips out, including camps and expedittions for the Duke of Edinburgh awards scheme.

The Brownies are especially for girls aged 7 to 10. As well as having an enjoyable time together, members develop valuable skills to help them as they grow up.

Guides follows on from Brownies in providing excellent experiences for girls from the age of 10 into their late teens, including developing life skills and becoming involved in helping the community. The activities are great fun!
