Who is this?
Last month Wacky asked you to dig out your memories of the Henley Hall. In just one year’s time, that building which we take so much for granted
will be 100 years old. Your ideas to commemorate that, please.
Wacky wants to publish each month snippets of the history of the Hall which has served the community so well. Your memories please!
It is hard to believe how this sweet little man has grown up! Here he is in his uniform for the Henley High School in the late 1940’s.
Our mystery male writes:
“I attended this school from 1949 to 50/51. The Headmaster was David Vaughan and they met at the Henley Hall - the two extra rooms
at the back of the hall were added for the school I think. I have a signed autograph of David Vaughan dated June 1947 and a coloured drawing of the
school badge (below). The school dining room was the kitchen and the rest of the rooms were class rooms. The toilets were not in those rooms until
much later. Kitchen and toilets in basement!”
Our mystery person appears in this picture of a Boys' Brigade presentation in the Henley Hall. He is the one in short trousers:

But who is this mystery person?
